Trade Mark is located in Shimokitazawa, on the Inokashira subway Keio line, 10 minutes from Shibuya on the west part of Tokyo.
The neighborhood is my favorite place in the city, quite european with narrow streets, low buildings and still a bit of underground spirit. There is a lot of shops, bars, cafés and people are young in this area - for instance, Shinjuku is an "adult neighborhood".
This shop is one of the best vintage boutique in Tokyo - if you like american vintage. Well, I know, it's maybe awkward but that's a reality, you can find a lot of clothes from the US in Japan.
I met a girl once and she told me she was driving a truck all around the United States to buy used clothes and then she sent containers to Tokyo...
The prices can be very high in this shop because you'll get a special antique piece, never seen before and you may won't find it again.
You'll see great choice of tee-shirts, authentic western shirts, army kakis, hippie dresses, tooled leather belts, sneakers and sandals, rockabilly pants, campus style jackets, accessories, cool denim, workwear and if you love the old fabrics such as canvas and cotton, it's your heaven!
Trade Markは東京の西、渋谷から京王井の頭線で10分、下北沢にあるお店です。
この辺りは私の一番お気に入りの場所で、 細い路地と低い建物が並ぶ町並みや、アンダーグラウンドスピリッツが漂う雰囲気がヨーロッパっぽい感じです。
沢山のショップ、カフェが並ぶ、若者の町かな--新宿が"大人の町"だとすれば。
そしてこのお店は、アメリカンヴィンテージが好きな方にはベストなお店だと思います。
もちろん日本でアメリカの服を買うなんて、ちょっと変な感じがするのは承知の上でおススメしますけれど。
お店にいた女の子によると、彼女は全米をトラックで縦断して、買い付けをし、コンテナで東京に送るのだとか。。。
お値段は高めなんだけれど、他では今まで見た事ないような、また今後も二度と見つけられないような、素敵な洋服を手に入れる事ができます。
かっこいいTシャツのラインアップ、本場のウエスタンシャツ、カーキ色のアーミ服、ヒッピードレス、型押しのレザーベルト、スニーカーやサンダル、ロカビリーパンツ、スタジアムジャンパー、デニム、ワークウェア、そしてもしヴィンテージのコットンやキャンバス布が大好きだったら、
ここはまさに天国です!
