私たちは先日、ノイケルンのカフェでやっかいな思いをした。
それについてはMrs Tがすでにこちらに詳しく書いているとおり。
実は私もファーを身につけていたのだけれど目立たなかったので、Tだけが注意を受ける事になってしまったのだ。
私のコートもヴィンテージだった。発展途上国で大量に不当に安く作られたものではない。
でも彼らは全ての毛皮を拒否しているみたいだから、彼らにとって私たちは最も招かざる客、毛皮を着た凶悪な２人組だった。
本当は動物もかわいがるし、ケーキを食べながらおしゃべりしたいだけだったのに。

ところで日本の有名な作家、宮沢賢治の作品に「注文の多い料理店」というのがある。
お腹をすかした狩人の２人組が、飛び込んだレストランは山猫軒。
ここはとても”注文が多い”と入り口の張り紙に書いてある。
レストランの中にも沢山の張り紙がしてあって、それらを読んで進んでいくと、注文をされているのはレストランではなくお客の自分たちだと気づく。
気がつけば、着ていた毛皮を脱がされて、体に塩を塗り込まされて、調理台に載せられる寸前に裸で逃げ出す！という話だ。
これは90年近く前に書かれた、動物愛護の意味を含んだ物語。
私は今回訪れたカフェの入り口に張られた紙をみて、この話を思い出してしまった。
だけど、山猫軒よりずっとましなのは素っ裸にされなかったこと!!
しかも私たちはまあまあ紳士的に断られたし、何も奪われなかったんだから、その点では良心的な注文の多い店だといえる。
帰りの地下鉄の中、ふと考えた。お店の名前の意味はなんだったろう。
Vux?ってなんだろう。。もしかしてFux? Vuchs?。。。ん?!!!Fuchs!!!!

山猫たち、ドイツに渡ってキツネになったかな。
Few days ago in Neukölln, we had in strange feeling in a café.
Mrs T had already explained the situation in details here.
Actually, I was wearing fur too, but as it was not obvious as hers, only T has been involved.
My coat was vintage too. It was not made in huge quantity for a low price in some developing country. But as they were rejecting all kind of fur, we might have been some very provocative customers to them, some awful bunch of fur wearers.
We are animal friendly, we just wanted to chat while having a cake.
There is a tale, "The Restaurant of Many Orders" written by Kenji Miyazawa, a famous japanese author.
A duo of hunters, super hungry, find "The Wild Cats Restaurant".
On the door, a poster says that here, "there is a lot of orders".
Inside too, there is many posters and as they follow the orders, they realize with horror that the actual orders are not from the restaurant, but their own selves.
They found out at the point where they took off their furs, had their body covered with salt and were about to lay on the kitchen table. They escape last minute, naked.
This was written more than 90 years ago, a story that evoked the animal rights already.
When I saw the poster at the cafe, I remembered this story.
But compare to the Wildcats Restaurant, we didn't ended up naked!
